Re: Problems - unable to insert into planner etc

I haven't seen an issue like this occur before, but it sounds like something has corrupted the database in some way that is causing the Sky+ box not to be able to add entries to it for new recordings. Would you be able to hook up the disk to ExPVR again and see if it reports any errors? If it doesn'...

Re: Error transferring recordings with R013 software

Another user had a similar issue recently which was being caused by a recording not having a channel name. I have now released an update which will no longer give errors for recordings without channel names; would you mind trying the version at http://www.ph-mb.com/products/expvr/downloads (3.9.19)?...

Re: Old PC and copying to 2TB drive is VERY slow!

I have just updated the forum to a new version, could you try again? If it still does not work, could you upload it to google drive and give me a link?

Yes, that should be fine, the forum should let you upload large files. If it doesn't work let me know and I will check the limit.

Re: Old PC and copying to 2TB drive is VERY slow!

Ok, there is at least a small chance of getting something back then if at least the database is intact! I am hoping that MFS.DB is also ok... Could you send me a diagnostics zip file? This can be generated by clicking the clipboard icon on the ExPVR toolbar and choosing your Sky+ disk. I have had so...

Re: Old PC and copying to 2TB drive is VERY slow!

Oh dear, that doesn't sound good... Does the sky box or ExPVR still list the recordings at all (e.g. as 'Failed'), or are they no longer listed at all? There is a fairly small chance we can get some of them back if they are still listed....

Re: Error finding encryption status - 890

Upgrading to the latest version of ExPVR (3.9.10 from http://www.ph-mb.com/downloads/ExPVR/ExPVR_3.9.10-4f86859d4b71_r.zip) should fix this issue. It was being caused by an obscure bug in the endian detection code, triggered when a recording happened to start on a sector with a number which had symm...

Re: planner build 2.79

I am really sorry that you are experiencing issues and for the delayed reply, life is incredibly hectic at the moment. I have tested ExPVR with the new planner version myself and had reports from other users that it is working, so this issue does not seem to be affecting everyone with an updated Sky...

Re: Deleted STREAM.STR files

TimeFire; from the looks of things, windows is giving CRC errors back to ExPVR when it reads certain bits of the disk. These kind of errors normally mean there is a hardware problem with the disk (i.e. it is failing). This could also explain why the STREAM.STR files could have become deleted, it is ...

Re: NZ MySky+ Drive upgrade

I do not have much experience with NZ boxes, but it is quite unlikely that they will support 3TB disks unless Sky have specifically added support. There is a fundamental limitation of how the Sky disks are partitioned that prevents them being formatted to more than 2TB.
