The Tampa Bay Rays will be without Jeremy Hellickson to start the 2014 season. The team confirmed on Monday that the 26-year-old had arthroscopic elbow surgery last week and is expected to be out until mid-to-late May. Hellickson posted a 12-10 record with a 5.17 earned-run average and a 1.351 WHIP for the Rays in 2013. The 2011 American League Rookie of the Year logged a career-low 174 innings as a rotation regular, while his ERA and WHIP reached career highs. He lasted just one inning in his lone post-season start, retiring the side in the first inning of Game 4 of the American League Division Series against the Boston Red Sox. He would be lifted in the second, however, after allowing the first three batters of the inning to reach base. Over parts of four seasons with the Rays, Hellickson has posted a 39-31 record with a 3.70 ERA and a 1.241 WHIP. Tony Romo Jersey . -- J.R.
